O Sapiéntia, quæ ex ore Altíssimi prodiísti, attíngens a fine usque ad finem, fórtiter suavitérque dispónens ómnia: veni ad docéndum nos viam prudéntiæ...

Aurem tuam, quǽsumus, Dómine, précibus nostris accómmoda: et mentis nostræ ténebras, grátia tuæ visitationis illústra: Qui vivis.

Today is Tuesday in the 3rd week of Advent, and is a feria. There are no more saint's day in the Kalendarium Romanum before Christmas except for the Holy Apostle on the 21st, nor in that of Le Barroux. Tomorrow is of course the first of the Advent Ember Days (and is also, as the ordo at Le Barroux points out, the day appointed for the Lord Abbot to deliver a homily in chapter on the Gospel of the day, Missus est Angelus; he has venerable and illustrious predecessors in this).

At the 1st lesson of Matins tomorrow.

In illo témpore: Missus est Angelus Gábriel a Deo in civitátem Galilǽæ, cui nomen Názareth, ad Vírginem desponsátam viro, cui nomen erat Joseph, de domo David, et nomen Vírginis María. Et réliqua.

The Mass is of the 3rd Advent Sunday, and that page is here.

At Vespers today, the antiphonae maiores are begun, the O Antiphons at the Gospel, the Magnificat anima mea Dominum of Our Blessed Lady. The series' first is O Sapientia

Laus Deo Virginique Matri
