Today is the 2nd Sunday post Pentecosten, and the Mass is Factus est Dóminus protéctor meus (this was formerly called the Mass infra Octavam Corporis Christi). Here in Oregon and in much of the United States 
propter pravitatem nostram the feast is transferred (as to its proper day) to today, which happens also in France and elsewhere. In churches where the Traditional Rite is maintained (as at Saint-Eugène and at Le Barroux), the feast of the Most Holy Body of Christ was celebrated on its proper day, Thursday, but the 'external solemnity' (in the case of Saint-E., Solemn Mass, the presence of the Schola etc, and the Procession; at Le Barroux, perhaps the Pontifical Mass-- I don't recall if the Lord Abbot celebrated Thursday or not-- and the Procession) are transferred to today.

The celebrant and homilist at Holy Mass at Saint-E. was Fr Serafino Maria Lanzetta of the Marian Franciscans; he gave a retreat at Saint-E. yesterday (where is a Confrérie de Marie Corédemptrice). (The Marian Franciscans are devoted to Our Lady Co-Redemptrix; 'the fifth dogma', people say: Our Lady's divine Maternity, her Immaculate Conception, her perpetual Virginity, and her Assumption-- I think that these are the first four-- and then is wanted a dogmatic definition of Our Lady as Mediatrix and Co-Redemptrix. As the Confrérie's page says, it is chiefly devoted to the praying of the Rosary.) He is a most excellent preacher and teacher of the Faith; it is possible that his French pronunciation is rather less perfect than he may believe it to be. The Marian Franciscans were exiled from Italy (this, in some fashion or another: I don't keep such details in my poor head) due to the malevolence of Franciscus (well, who knows; it is just as likely that heterodox local bishops agitated...) and are now established in two dioceses in the United Kingdom. The Marian Franciscans are devoted to Our Lady Co-Redemptrix.

The Procession took place after Vespers and was followed by Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. I watched as much of the Procession as I could, given the glitches in the transmission; these seem to be unavoidable without what would be a doubtless expensive upgrade of their equipment etc etc. Observed not a single expression of worship or devotion evinced by the hundreds of Parisians and tourists the Lord passed by but, lots of glitches so who knows. The Schola sounded wonderful and the full complement of trumpets, trombones-- the violins and violoncello remaining in the gallery.

At Saint-Eugène, the procession as the clergy entered the sanctuary was accompanied by the singing of today's sequence Lauda Sion Salvatorem in the plain-chant d’Amiens. The Asperges followed as is usual on Sundays; this was omitted at Le Barroux.

M de Villiers's note in the livret at Saint-E. says that the Lauda Sion Salvatorem of Saint Thomas is "
composé sur la séquence Laudes Crucis d’Adam de Saint-Victor"; I'm not quite sure what that means. Laudes Crucis attolamus (p 110 in the edition of Adam I've got here) looks to have the same metrical structure, anyway, but I've not read it this morning.
