I wonder if the starlings have always been...

There in the trees beyond my back yard and I have just noticed? No idea, but they are certainly vociferous this morning. Damp and cold yet again although earlier (when I was out for my walk) Dawn was lovely and I thought that Phoebus was going to blaze away. This appears not to be the case; maybe this afternoon. 40 degrees F. now, maybe 50 later in the day. Tsk. It is the feast of Pope Saint Celestine V, who resigned the supreme pontificate in 1294 after reigning for just six months, with a commemoration of Saint Pudentiana; at Saint-Eugène the feast of St Yves, patron of Brittany, is being kept (Introibo, CE, Wiki). The Mass is Iustus ut palma florebit

It is also the feast of Saint Dunstan (10th century), of Saint Pudentiana (2nd century), and of Saint Urban (3rd century).

V. Et álibi aliórum plurimórum sanctórum Mártyrum et Confessórum, atque sanctárum Vírginum. R. Deo grátias.
