The Children was to have featured in Benjamin Appl's program next month at Carnegie Hall. Unhappily, it's cancelled. Appl and the pianist James Baillieu were there last May, too, as I recall; I forget which Schubert cycle he sang.
(I ought to add that there appears not to be a recording of The Children on YouTube, alas. The two performances on Spotify are both by sopranos so I'd've been interested to hear Appl's baritone version. Not that I would have, of course-- travelling to NYC for recitals etc is not something I can do-- 'so I'd've been interested' is in the critical rhetorical tense, mode, or voice.)
